Generally an easy ride, at least to Wadebridge and back).  After Wadebridge going on to Bodmin it gets slightly more uphill, although it is still a disused railway line so it's not too bad.

Bikes can be hired from Padstow cycle hire or Trail Bike Hire.  Then just follow the trail.  Wadebridge is about 6 miles away and there are plenty of coffee places when you get there (if open of course).

 

Bodmin is about the same distance the other side and the trail comes out into Bodmin near the old gaol.  Worth a visit if it's open.
